Your Computer Are Belong To Us
Yes, it is true, it has been reported that Microsoft is DROPPING the “My” Computer nomenclature in the next big new version of Windows, usually referred to by it’s code name of “Longhorn”.
There will be no My Documents, My Photos, My Music or My Videos in reference to these special file folders.
-
And there have been reports that these special folders and menu items will simply be called “Computer”, “Documents”, “Music” etc. But we don’t beleive it!
And on top if that, if it’s not “My” Computer anymore, then who’s is it? Huh?
-
We think we have the answer!
We conducted a non-scientific poll of all the files on our computer ( for some reason a lot of the files in our C: drive took the 5th on this ) and the consensus of opinion is that the NEW NOMENCLATURE for the special folders and menu items will be:
- Your Computer Are Belong to Us
- Your Documents Are Belong to Us
- Your Pictures Are Belong to Us
- Your Music Are Belong to Us
- Your Videos Are Belong to Us
- Etc. etc. etc.
and especially,
Now, inside sources (in our computer’s C: drive) make the following statement in their defense:
-
“It all depends on what the definition of us is. “
Well, we can give you a clue on that one, and the clue is: Us is NOT You.
