Check and see if your computer’s IP address is on the “cracked” computer list at Dshield.org.  If so, your IP address may currently be, or may have been, used as a zombie, or otherwise compromised. 

If your IP address appeared in our database, it would be a strong indicator that your machine was possibly cracked and is accessing other machines in a manner that their firewalls log as hostile.  Has your computer been cracked?

Of course, since many users have dynamic IP addresses, false positives are possible.  But any positive indication is cause for further analysis.  Make sure your computer is secured to at least minimum safe level, such as found on our web page http://internet-insecurity.com/blog/minimum-safe-pc/.
