Real Security vs. Showmanship

We consider Bruce Schneier to be one of the foremost security experts. Any person concerned about security would do well to study Bruce’s writings. He clearly explains the difference between security showmanship and a rational approach to security. His ideas apply as well to personal security as they do to national security.

Bot-herders Beware

The FBI is finally tackling the tremendous personal and national security problem caused by ‘Bot-herders’. Bot-herders have an estimated one million computers in their clutches. The FBI is actively pursuing these miscreants and seeking to prosecute the Bot-herders and shut down the bot-nets.
